PDCA Diary Vol. 67 "If you don't have things, you won't get scattered"】

People those who came to my desk have been mentioning that "Mr. PDCA's desk is tidy."

There is a reason for this, because the manager at my first workplace persistently said, “Place only what you need to do now on the desk and put everything else in the drawer.”

This manager's motto is that "The desk is the same as the brain", and later I heard something similar thing from a colleague who was a former Marine while I was in New York.

“Soldiers are well dressed and wearing shiny shoes, because mistakes are more likely to cause from sloppy appearance. Mistakes in the military would lead to life-threatening."

Material to be introduced today "We don't need things any more (Japanese only)" recommends a new way of thinking by saying that "If you don't have things, you won't get scattered."

If things are cluttered on your desk, you had better read this book and consider whether you really need things what you have.
