PDCA Diary Vol. 92 "Ask questions if you want to convince"】

I suppose that every company has a top sales representative, but all of them aren't necessarily self-assertive sales persons.

Capable sales representatives tend to be good listeners rather than speakers.

The material to be introduced today “Good questions move people (Japanese only)” explains the following interesting phrases.

“If you try to push something to someone, he or she will try to rebel with the same power.

People don't want to follow orders by others, but they are willing to follow what they came up from themselves.

To do that, all you have to do is to ask questions." (Unquote)

Some people say that they are not good at asking questions, but even in that case, you should be able to find out what to ask questions by examining the person you are talking to in advance.

Preparation is everything, and preparation will determine the outcome, so you can expect a significant effect just by writing the questionnaires on paper in advance for important business meetings :-).
