【PDCA日記 Vol. 150「仕事ができない人ほど時間がない」】
私が最初の職場で言われたことの一つに、「いつも暇にしておけ」ということがあります。
「暇にしておけ」ということは「仕事をするな」ということではなく、「仕事をためることなく、依頼されたことをすぐに処理する」という意味でした。
「暇にしておく」ことは今も心掛けており、これを実践できたことは非常にプラスに働いたと考えています。
「Mr. PDCAは仕事の質はともかく（？）として、とにかく速い」というイメージが強くなったのも、最初の職場のマネージャーのおかげ（せい？）であると感じています :-)。
今回紹介する資料「億稼ぐ技術」は、「日本一売り上げるキャバ嬢」と言われている（自分で言っている？）「エンリケ」こと小川えり氏による仕事の指南書で、以下のフレーズが印象的でした。
「仕事ができる人は、時間の使い方が上手。
仕事ができない人ほど時間がない。」（引用終わり）

P.S. 本書が言う「仕事ができない人ほど時間がない」ことは確かだと思いますが、廊下やオフィスを走っている人も「時間がない（余裕を持って行動していない）」と言えます。
何事も準備が大切であり、「時間がない」と言わないことが成功するビジネスパーソンへの近道かもしれませんね :-)。
＜ Mr. PDCAのボンジュール英語「暇である」 = 「have nothing to do」＞
今回出てきた「暇である」の英訳は、「have nothing to do」になります。
逆の意味で、「やることが多すぎます」と表現する場合、「I have too many things to do」とすればよいわけですね :-)。
One of the things I was told in my first workplace was that I was supposed to have nothing to do.
“Have nothing to do” did not mean “do not work”, but “always be read for the next task by implementing the process what was requested”.
I still try to keep this principle even now, and I feel that this practice has worked very positively.
Thanks to the first manager, I could make a strong image that "Mr. PDCA is quite fast".
The material to be introduced today “Million-Making Technology (Japanese only)” explains how to build millions of wealth through work and the following phrases were impressive.
“Capable people are good at managing time.
On the other hand, incompetent people have less time." (Unquote)
