迷走するイギリス―― EU離脱と欧州の危機

P.S. チャーチルが述べた「共にあるが加われない」という戦略は、イギリス以外の国でも外交方策として、利用可能であると思っています。

「両社の統合計画は破談になった」を英語にする場合、「The integration plan of two companies were broken」とすればよいですね :-)。

PDCA (plan-do-check-action) Diary Vol. 169 "With it but cannot join"

There has been much debate about what will happen to the UK after it leaves the EU.

Speculation is circulating about what the future will look like, but historical figures have made multiple predictions about the European shape.

The material to be introduced today "Vagabond England (Japanese only)" explains "the direction of the United Kingdom on a lonely road from now on" and the following phrases were impressive in the part of "Europe for England".

"The most suggestive and clearest statement was by Winston Churchill.

Churchill responded on December 17, 1951, at a meeting of the British and French summits in Paris that he was questioned about Britain's plans for European integration.

In relation to Europe, Churchill said that 'UK is with Europe, but we cannot join it'.

Churchill tried to state that the United Kingdom was with Europe and not of Europe." (Unquote)
