今回のPDCA日記のタイトルになっている「うまくいかない前提で考える」を英語にする場合、「Think on the premise that it does not work」とすればよいですね :-)。

PDCA (plan-do-check-action) Diary Vol. 214 "Think on the premise that it does not work"

For those who come to PDCA Cafe, I feel that there are two types.

One is “a person who is enjoying his or her life” and the other is “a person who faces too many challenges”.

In case of “a person who is enjoying his or her life”, my advice is not necessary, because he or she is satisfied with his or her life and talking to him or her is vey enjoyable, because he or she enjoys life :-).

On the other hand, “a person who faces too many challenges” is suffering between ideal and reality and he or she expect my valuable (?) advices so as to overcome his or her tough situation.

The material to be introduced today “Resetting Power (Japanese only)” is a commentary book about “The Way of Enhancing Mind” written by a professional soccer player, Mr. Hiroki Sakai, and the following phrases were impressive.

“Since I'm thinking on the premise that things do not work, I will do my best preparation in a limited time.

The worst case can be avoided, because I am playing the game with the assumption that it will not work.

“It doesn't work” concept might be taken negatively.

But for me, that way of thinking leads to positive results as a professional athlete." (Unquote)

Let's function PDCA today!
