【PDCA日記 Vol. 421「発展とは本質に帰るような変化」】
私は仕事柄、企業の変革期に遭遇することが多々あります。
「変革」と言えばポジティブに聞こえるかもしれませんが、実際にはチャレンジングな局面が多く、人間の性（さが）を垣間見る瞬間とも言えます。
今回紹介する資料「ヘーゲル哲学の読み方」は、「発展の立場から、自然と人間と労働を考える」をキャッチフレーズにしており、「発展とは本質に帰るような変化のこと」部分が印象的でした。
「ヘーゲルはその論理学において『発展とは、移行（変化）と反省の運動の統一』である、とする。
つまり本質の奥に、本質の根拠として概念を置いたということである。
これは哲学史上でヘーゲルだけが行ったことであり、本質と概念の違いが何を意味するかが大きな問題となる。」（引用終わり）

P.S. 事業運営を行っている経営者の場合、「発展」と言えば「ビジネスの拡大」に結びつけるケースが多くあります。
ただ、むやみやたらにビジネスを拡大しても内部管理体制が追い付かず、空中分解することにつながりかねません。
ビジネスの拡大に伴い、収益も膨らんでいれば色々な矛盾を覆い隠すことができます。
ただ、どこかでひずみが噴き出す可能性が高いため、経営者は今回紹介する資料「ヘーゲル哲学の読み方」を読んでおき、「発展とは本質に帰るような変化」であることを肝に銘じておくことが重要になりますね :-)。
＜ Mr. PDCAのボンジュール英語「本質」 = 「essence」＞
今回出てきた「本質」の英訳は、「essence」になります。
「発展とは本質に帰るような変化」を英語で表現する場合、「Development is a change that returns to the essence」とすればよいですね :-)。

"Hegel says in his logic that 'Development is the unification of the movements of transition and reflection.'
In other words, the concept was placed behind the essence as the basis of the essence.
This was only done by Hegel in the history of philosophy, and the big question is what the difference between essence and concept means." (Unquote)
