「フランスでは、短い時間で成果を出すことが美徳とされています」と表現する場合、「In France, it is a virtue to make results in a short time」とすればよいですね😊

PDCA (plan-do-check-action) Diary Vol. 863 "Where to concentrate is important"

When I was a student, I had a part-time job as a prep school teacher, and I had the opportunity to talk to parents of high school students.

I often heard the words from parents that "My kid doesn't have enough effort."

In Japan, there is a strong belief that "Effort is a virtue", but it seems that there are differences in what is a virtue from country to country.

The U.S. financial institution I used to work was a place of meritocracy where the results are easy to see.

Therefore, I felt that the results were everything, and as long as I achieved my earnings goals, I didn't have to come to the office at that time.

I can't say which is better about the way of thinking between Japan and the United States, and I think each has its advantages and disadvantages.

On the other hand, in France, there seemed to be an idea that "It is wonderful to get results without effort".

When I was a graduate student in France, I read an article in a newspaper and found it interesting.

According to the article, parents preferred their kids to get good results rather than study hard (the story of this article😊.

In France, if you get good grades without studying, your parents will be very happy, saying, "My child has good grades without studying!"

The material to be introduced today "How to concentrate extremely (Japanese only)" is a specialized book for concentration which catchphrase is "Successful people are controlling 20% important elements" and the following phrases was impressive.

"Many Japanese people are believing that 'It is good to work seriously for a long time'.

However, we should not focus on working long hours, but focus on important valuable works.

It is important to produce great results in short time.

From this point of view, Japanese people need to review the daily life and work habits.

It is of course important to study seriously, but it does not always succeed.

Where to concentrate efforts is important."  (Unquote)
