P.S. 「こんまり」はアメリカでも人気ですが、彼女は英語を一切話さず通訳を使っています。
この戦略は功を奏しており、「こんまり」のイメージに合った声を持つ通訳を使っているようにも感じています。
過去のPDCA日記でも紹介しましたが、アメリカやフランスでは字幕を使った外国映画はほとんど上映されていません。
アメリカとフランスは移民が多い社会であり、「話すことはできるが読めない」割合が結構あることが、字幕が一般的ではない背景にあるように感じています。
アメリカやフランスで友人の家に行くと、とんでもなく散らかっていることがあります。
「これでも片付けたんだよ」と言いながら、足の踏み場もない友人の部屋に招かれた日々が懐かしいですね😊。
＜ Mr. PDCAのボンジュール英語「基準」 = 「criterion」＞
今回出てきた「基準」の英訳は、「criterion」になります。
「モノを捨てる基準」を英語で表現する場合、「Criteria for throwing things away」とすればよいですね😊。
