PDCA (plan-do-check-action) Diary Vol. 957 "Are human cultures identical?"

In the past PDCA diary, I introduced about a case where I took a marketing class at a French graduate school.

PDCA Diary Vol. 93 "Luxury brands don't implement TV commercials"

https://pdcadiary.hateblo.jp/entry/2019/11/01/012543

When luxury brands such as Louis Vuitton and Chanel create marketing strategies for women, they are aware of 3 things: perfect beauty, having a rewarding job, and becoming a good mother.

If it is a product for women in the early 20s, luxury brands use an actress or model with "perfect beauty" for the CM, and if women in the late 20s are targets, "perfect beauty" and "having a rewarding job" would be the appeal points of advertising.

In case of advertising for women in their 30s and beyond, they will provide commercials that are conscious of "perfect beauty," "having a rewarding job," and "being a good mother."

The marketing professor was formerly head of the international department of Louis Vuitton's parent company, LVMH, and he taught a variety of internal affairs.

He said, "These marketing points of appealing are universal."

The material introduced today "Why Beautiful People Have More Daughters: From Dating, Shopping, and Praying to Going to War and Becoming a Billionaire" has a catchphrase "Two Evolutionary Psychologists Explain Why We Do What WeDo" and the following phrases were impressive.

"In everyday life, as well as in social science discussions, the word 'cultures' is often used in the plural.

It is thought that there are various cultures in the world.

In one dimension, it is correct.

American culture and Chinese culture are different, and both are different from Egyptian culture.

But all these cultural differences are superficial, and at their deepest, most fundamental level, all human cultures are essentially identical.

In any human society, people consume animal proteins and worship living objects.

At the abstract level, there are no exceptions, and the culture of all mankind is the same.

Human culture is infinitely diverse in the sense that there is no culture that does not consume animal protein and worship living objects." (Unquote)
