【PDCA日記 Vol. 1,036「髪型の話は何とかなる」】
日本の美容師の技術は非常に高く、世界中で評価されています。
私がパリに住んでいた時、フランス人の美容師に切ってもらったことがあります。
ただ、フランス人に髪を切ってもらうと、「こういう髪型にしてほしい」と細かく説明しても、スポーツ刈りになってしまうのでした👦。
そのため、私はパリで営業している日本人の美容師のところに行っていました。
パリの美容院でも、日本と同じようにカット後にドリンクを出しているところがあります。
そのようなサービスがフランス人にとっては新鮮らしく、結構評判がよいらしいです。
私が日本に帰ってから、髪を切りに行くところがたくさんあって大変助かっています（それはそうだろう😊）。
私が今通っている美容院では、外国人の顧客がときどき来るらしいです。
日本人の美容師が外国人とコミュニケーションを取る場合、髪型をどうするかの確認は身ぶり手ぶりでなんとかなるらしいです。
チャレンジングなことは、髪を切っている間の会話であるとのことです。
というのも、美容師自身の英語が相当流暢でないと、カット中の会話が続かないそうです。

P.S. 私が行く美容院は予約制になっており、お店に行くとすぐに席に案内してくれます。
そこには私が好きそうな食べ物やバイクを特集した雑誌を置いてくれているのですが、カット中は髪の毛が本の上に落ちてしまうため、私はほとんど雑誌を手にすることがありません。
周りの顧客を見ていると、上手く雑誌を読んでいるため、カット中に髪が本に落ちない方法をご存じの方は教えてください😊。
＜Mr. PDCAのボンジュール英語「何とかなる」=「can be managed」＞
今回出てきた「何とかなる」の英訳は、「can be managed」になります。
「髪型の話は何とかなる」を英語にする場合、「Hairstyle story can be managed」とすればよいですね😊。
本日は、映画「レンタネコ」を紹介します。
映画「レンタネコ」はタイトルの通り、猫をレンタルするビジネスを手掛けるサヨコ（市川実日子）の生活を描いた作品です。
最近はサブスクリプションで色々な財・サービスがレンタル可能になっていますが、動物のレンタルサービスを手掛ける業者が増えているようです。
映画「レンタネコ」で印象的だったのは、身寄りのなくなった高齢者の女性が「茶とら」をレンタルしたシーンです。
この女性が「私が他界したら茶とらを引き取ってくれるの？」と確認した際、サヨは「もちろんです。責任を持って引き取ります」と回答しました。
感動的な場面と言えるのですが、超現実主義社（？）の私としては、「この女性が他界したことをサヨはどうやって知るのだろう」と考えてしまいました。
映画はファンタジーであるため、この辺りのことは「考えなくてよい」ということでしょう。
映画を鑑賞して楽しいのは、同じ作品をみた人の意見を聞くことですね。
最近は自宅で映画鑑賞することが多いのですが、映画館で他の人と作品をみた後に、喫茶店で「あーだこーだ」と議論する時間も貴重であるような気がします。
というわけで、そろそろ映画館にも足を運ぼうと思います😊。

When a Japanese hairdresser communicates with a foreigner, it seems that the hairstyle story can be managed by gesturing.
The challenging thing is a conversation while cutting hair.

There's a magazine that features food and motorcycles that I am fond of, but I rarely get it because the hair falls on the book during the cut.
When I look at the customers around myself in the salon, they are reading the magazine without any challenge.
