P.S. 日本でもNPOの活動が盛んになりつつありますが、寄付文化が定着しているアメリカのNPOの規模とは比較になりません。

NPOは認知の役割を持つ」を英語にする場合、「NPOs have a cognitive role」とすればよいですね😊。

PDCA (plan-do-check-action) Diary Vol. 1,739 "NPOs have a cognitive role"】

When I was a university student, I heard a professor in a class in economics that "The role of a nonprofit organization (NPO) is to make people widely aware of social problems and issues."

In other words, NPOs have a cognitive role according to this professor.

Although Japan is said to have smaller NPOs than the United States, some Japanese NPOs are beginning to exert a great influence on society.

In Japan, smaller NPOs often rely on volunteers to manage their organizations.

The material introduced today "First NPO theory: Let's think about the role together (Japanese only)" explains in detail how to actually start an NPO and how to manage and operate it.

There are many descriptions about actual NPOs in this book and it is recommended for those who want to start NPOs or work for NPOs.

Let's function PDCA today!

P.S. NPOs are becoming more active in Japan, but they are not comparable to the size of American NPOs, which have a well-established donation culture.

Some NPOs in the United States have large financial scales, and some are hiring professional managers who are active in the private sector to further expand their operations.

Also, as a background to the spread of donation culture to every corner of society in the United States, my professor at Business School had the view that "Christianity is the background".

As I actually lived in the United States, I insisted that "The background is that the donated amount is deducted and tax benefits are available in the U.S." but this professor challenged me by saying, "That's why bankers are poor in mind."

I think this is a point of controversy, but I still think that my idea of working in the United States and paying taxes is more practical 😊.
