戦前に日本にあった特殊部隊養成所である陸軍中野学校のモットーは、「死ぬな、殺すな」だったそうです。
第二次世界大戦中、旧日本軍は神風特別攻撃隊を中心として、自爆攻撃を仕掛けていました。
そんな中、陸軍中野学校は珍しく自害を認めておらず、「死ぬな」を合言葉に、生き残ることを優先させていました。
また、陸軍中野学校では、敵を殺すのではなく、急所を外して撃ち、怪我でとどめるような教育が行われていたとされます。
戦場においては、怪我人が出ると助けるための人手が必要になり、死者が出るよりも部隊に与えるダメージが大きいと陸軍中野学校は考えていたためです。
陸軍中野学校の戦略は、ビジネスパーソンにとっても参考になることがあります。
皆がやっていることと同じことをしがちな中、陸軍中野学校は全体主義とは違う戦略を取っていたからです（中々できることではありません）。

今回出てきた「秘史」の英訳は、「secret history」になります。
「旧日本陸軍には秘史があった」を英語にする場合、「Former Japanese Army had a secret history」とすればよいですね😊。

During World War II, the former Japanese Army was conducting suicide attacks such as the Kamikaze Special Attack Force.
Under such circumstances, the Nakano School prioritized survival in the slogan of "Don't die".
In addition, it is said that the Nakano School was instructed not to kill the enemy, but to take a shot at the critical point.
This is because the Nakano School believed that if there is an injured person on the battlefield, it would require manpower to help, and the damage to the troops would be greater than the deaths.
The Nakano School's strategies can be helpful to current business persons as well.

Even we, who live in a safe modern age, need the courage to do something different from others.
