PDCA日記 Vol. 2,167「専門家は役に立たない」
トランプ大統領が、ゴールドマンサックスの幹部に対して、「予測を外したから別の仕事を探すべき」とコメントして話題になっています。
トランプ関税が発表された直後、世界の株式市場が暴落しました。
その後、主要な金融機関は株式市場の見通しを弱気に変更しました。
現在、世界中の株式市場が最高値を更新中です。
金融機関の専門家による予測が、占い師なみに役に立たないことが証明されました。
今回紹介する資料「ウォーレン・バフェット」は、以下のフレーズが印象的でした。
「プロの投資家は、あなたがプロより上手くやれるはずがないとあなたに信じ込ませようとする。
なぜだろう。その答えは明らかだ。
株式投資は複雑だから並の人間の手に負えるものでははい、とあなたに思い込ませることが、自分たちの利益になるからだ。
自分にとって何の役にも立たないと一般の人々から思われたら、プロの投資家は一体どうなるだろう。」（引用終わり）

私は以前、金融機関で働いていました。
職場でよく、「先が読めるなら金融機関で働かない」という意見を耳にしました。
占い師が占いをしているのは、先が読めないからでもあります。
先が読めるのであれば、占い以外の仕事をするはずだからです。
投資は自己責任ですが、専門家の意見は役に立ちません。
過去の成績が唯一の指標になります。
過去の成績に基づき、私はこれからもS&P500とナスダックに投資を続けます💰

＜ 本日のボンジュール英語「先を読む」 = 「predict」＞
今回出てきた「先を読む」の英訳は、「predict」になります。
「占い師が占いをしているのは、先が読めないから」を英語で表現する場合、「Fortune tellers tell fortunes because they can't predict the future」とすればよいですね😊

Professional predictions from financial institutions have proven to be as useless as fortune tellers.

I used to work for a financial institution.
At work, I often hear people say, "If I could predict the future, I wouldn't work at a financial institution."
Fortune tellers tell fortunes because they can't predict the future.
If they could predict the future, they would do something other than fortune telling.
Investing is at your own risk, and expert opinions are useless.
Past performance is the only indicator.
Based on past performance, I will continue to invest in the S&P 500 and Nasdaq💰
