【PDCA日記 Vol. 1,231「詐欺の手口は昔から同じ」】
詐欺の手口は昔から同じであると言われますが、詐欺にあわないよう色々なところで注意喚起がなされています。
多くの人が「自分は詐欺にかからない」と思っているようですが、こう考えている人は一番リスクが高いため、「自分はいつでも詐欺にかかる可能性がある」前提で生活をする方が無難だと思います。
今回紹介する資料「カラスの親指」は有名な小説ですが、色々な詐欺の手法が描かれており、以下のフレーズが印象的でした。

バリエーションこそ違え、いまも昔も世界中で行われている。
カモは武沢が事前に選定し、簡単な個人情報を調べておいた。
万一相手に疑いを持たれたとき、こちらが相手の情報を知っているかどうかが仕事の成功率を大きく左右するのだ。
『あなた』と呼ばれるのと、名前を呼ばれるのとでは、やはり信用の度合いがずいぶん違ってくるし、必要に応じて会話の中でさりげなく住所や電話番号を口にしてやれば、さらにグンと信用される。
事前にその程度の個人情報を入手するのは簡単なことだった。

P.S. 過去のPDCA日記でも紹介しましたが、何年か前に私の実家に振り込め詐欺の電話がありました。
私のふりをして詐欺犯人は連絡をしていたらしく、実家の家族はすっかりだまされていたようです。
私のふりをした犯人は、まず「おたふく風邪にかかった」と連絡し、声の違いをごまかしたようでした。
その後、「少しよくなった」と安心させるという手の込んだ詐欺手法を使っていました。
お金を取られる前に私と連絡を取って詐欺だと気づいて助かりましたが、非常に考えられた仕組みであると感じました。
そこまで巧妙にやるのであれば、合法的なビジネスでもある程度成功すると思うのですが、そう感じるのは私が恵まれているからでしょうか。
平日の昼間に商店街を歩いていると、パトカーがやってきて「詐欺に注意しましょう」というアナウンスをしています。
それだけ、騙される人が多いということでしょうね。

今回出てきた「詐欺」の英訳は、「fraud」になります。
「詐欺の手口は昔から同じ」を英語にする場合、「Fraud methods have always been the same」とすればよいですね😊。

P.S. As I introduced in the past PDCA diary, a few years ago there was a phone fraud call to my parents' house.
It seems that the fraudster was contacting my parents by pretending to be me, and my family at home was completely deceived.
The criminal who pretended to be me first contacted my parents by saying that, "I had a terrible cold," and seemed to cheat the difference in voice.
After that, he used an elaborate fraudulent technique to reassure him that he was getting "a little better."
My parents contacted me before they were taken money and was saved by noticing it as a scam, but felt it was a very thoughtful mechanism.
If they can think of such a complicated process so well, I think that even a legitimate business will succeed to some extent.
As I walked around the shopping street during the daytime on weekdays, a police car came and announced that "Be careful about fraud."
