PDCA日記 Vol. 2,106「AIを使っても使われるな？」
先日ある方から、「AIを使っていますか？」という質問を受けました。
私は、毎日AIを使っています。
このブログを日本語で作成し、英語の翻訳をAIで行っています。
ただ、AIが翻訳した英文を、そのまま投稿しているわけではありません。
英文のおかしなところは調整し、適切な単語に修正した上で投稿しているのです。
私のモットーは、「AIを使っても使われるな」です。
今回紹介する資料「アルゴリズムはどれほど人を支配しているのか? 」は、以下のフレーズが印象的でした。
「私は、かつてグーグラーが誇りを持って述べていた『悪をなすなかれ（Don't be evil）』というモットーを思い出した。
現在、グーグルは、確実性を持って悪を避けるための公式など存在しないことに気づいて、このモットーを撤回したのだろうか？
最善を尽くすことはできる。
しかし、私たちが正しいことをしているかどうかを確信するすべはないのだ。」（引用終わり）

グーグルやメタなどのプラットフォーマーが、AIサービスを提供しています。
ただ、AIのアルゴリズムはプラットフォーマーが設定しており、「特定の意見が省かれている」という指摘があります。
AIが全知全能ではなく、AIから出てきたものを疑ってみる視点が重要ですね🌞

＜ 本日のボンジュール英語「全知全能の」 = 「omniscient」＞
今回出てきた「全知全能の」の英訳は、「omniscient」になります。
「AIが全知全能ではない」を英語で表現する場合、「AI is not omniscient」とすればよいですね😊。
Someone recently asked me, "Do you use AI?"
I use AI every day.
I write this blog in Japanese and use AI to translate it into English.
However, I don't just post the English translations that AI has done.
I adjust any strange parts of the English and post them after correcting them to appropriate words.
My motto is, "Use AI, don't let it use you."
The following phrases from the book introduced today, "The Algorithms That Control Our Lives", left a strong impression on me.
"I was reminded of the motto that Googlers once proudly proclaimed: 'Don't be evil.'
Has Google now retracted this motto, realizing that there is no formula for avoiding evil with certainty?
We can do our best, but there's no way to be sure we're doing the right thing." (Unquote)

Platform providers such as Google and Meta provide AI services.
However, it has been pointed out that the AI algorithms are set by the platform providers, and that "certain opinions are omitted."
AI is not omniscient and omnipotent, so it's important to be skeptical of what comes out of AI🌞
