【PDCA日記 Vol. 1,512「99%のことはしなくてよい？」】
ある日のPDCAカフェで、「会社組織以外のところで働くイメージがわかない」という悩みを抱えている方がいました。
会社組織で働くことが向いているのは、決められたことを決められた通りにこなし、その上で創造的な考えを出して、企画を推進していける人なのでしょう。
一方、自営や起業が向いているのは、空気を読まない意外なアイデアをビジネスとして成立させ、それを商品・サービスとして、継続的に顧客に提供できるタイプの人であると考えています。
良い悪いは別として、日本の場合、大きな組織で働いている人の社会的地位が高く、その背景にはメディアの情報や学校、家庭での教育が影響しているように感じています。
私が留学していたフランスのビジネススクールに、何人かイタリア人がいましたが、イタリアでは4人に1人が自営業者であり、他の先進国と比較しても、自営の率が高いようです。
今回紹介する資料「しないことリスト」は、「本当はしなくてもいいことを手放して、自分の人生を取り戻そう」をキャッチフレーズにしており、以下のフレーズが印象的でした。
「いわゆる『しなきゃいけないこと』の99%は『本当は別にしなくてもいいこと』だ。
なぜしないといけないかが、自分でよくわからないことは、もうやめよう。
まわりに理解されなくても、自分で実感の持てることや、自分のしたいことだけをやっていこう。」（引用終わり）

P.S. 最近は月額4万円で、日本国中の様々な物件に住めるサービスが開始されており、フリーランスやリモートワークで働く人達が利用されているようです。
また、日本では3割から4割近い食品が廃棄されており、食べ物も余っている状況です。
今の仕事が余りにもチャレンジングな場合、「これはしなくてもいいのでは？」と自分に問いかけてみるだけでも楽になれるかもしれません。
今はインターネットを経由して、色々な仕事ができ、「やりたいことをやってみる」ことができる時代ですからね（経験談！）。
＜ Mr. PDCAのボンジュール英語「廃棄する」=「discard」＞
今回出てきた「廃棄する」の英訳は、「discard」が一つの表現方法になります。
「日本では、3割から4割近い食品が廃棄されている」を英語にする場合、「Nearly 30% to 40% of food is discarded in Japan」とすればよいですね :-)。

On the other hand, self-employed and entrepreneurs are the type of people who can implement surprising ideas and provide them to customers as products and services.
Aside from good and bad, in Japan, people who work in large organizations have a high social status, and this seems to be influenced by media and school and home education.
There were some Italians at a French business school where I was studying abroad.
In Italy, one in four is self-employed and has a higher rate of self-employment than other developed countries.
The material to be introduced today "Don't do list & Do list (Japanese only)" has a catchphrase of "Let's release what you don't really need and regain your life" and the following phrases were impressive.
"99% of what we have to do is it really doesn't have to do.
If you don't know why you have to do it, stop doing it.
Even if you don't understand others, just do what you can feel and do what you want." (Unquote)
