【PDCA日記 Vol. 1,540「時間が一番大切な資産」】
PDCAカフェには、「自分の向いている分野に進むことにした」と実行に移されたことを報告しに来てくれる方がいます。
彼ら、彼女らが将来、ビジネスで成功する確率は非常に高いと考えており、実際に上手く事業を回している人も出てきています。
今回紹介する資料「ミニマリストな暮らし方」は、「ものがないから本当に大切なものが見える」をキャッチフレーズにしており、「一番大切な資産は、お金ではなく時間」部分の以下フレーズが印象的でした。
「少ない収入でひとり暮らしするには、ものを減らせばいいのではないか。
冷蔵庫やテレビなど大型家電を持たなければ、広い部屋に住む必要もなく、初期費用も安くできるはずと、ものを減らし始めました。
今でも『所有はコストである』という考えが根っこにあります。
『したくないこと』をできるだけしなくて済むようにし、自分の『したいこと』にエネルギーを向けたいと思うようになりました。」（引用終わり）

P.S. 私自身、冷蔵庫を10年近く使っていませんが、スーパーやコンビニがすぐ近くにあるため、特に不便は感じていません。
そのため、冷蔵庫の開閉時間が不要であり、この10年間を合計すると、結構なコスト削減につながっているのではないかと密かに思っています :-)。
＜ Mr. PDCAのボンジュール英語「所有」=「possession」＞
今回出てきた「所有」の英訳は、「possession」になります。
「所有はコストである」を英語にする場合、「Possession is cost」とすればよいですね :-)。

They believe that they have a very high probability of succeeding in the business in the future, and some people are actually doing business well.
The material to be introduced today "Minimalist Living (Japanese only" has a catchphrase of "I can see something really important, because I have nothing" and the following phrases were impressive.
"To live alone with a small income, should we reduce things?
Without large appliances such as refrigerators and TVs, we began to reduce the need to live in large rooms and reduce initial costs.
Even now, the idea that 'possession is cost' is at the root.
I have decided to avoid doing what I don't want, and I want to focus my energy on what I want to do." (Unquote)
