フランスのビジネス・スクールで面白いと感じたのは、高級ブランドに対する国・地域の考え方の違いでした。
フランスなどのヨーロッパの場合、ルイヴィトンやエルメスを購入するのは、富裕層であることが多いそうです。
一方、日本や中国などの東アジアでは、富裕層以外の人たちも高級ブランドを購入する傾向があると考えられています。
国や地域によって、高級ブランドはマーケティング手法を変えているわけですね。
日本ではおしゃれな若者が乗る車というイメージがある「BMW」ですが、ドイツでは「おじさんが乗る大衆車」というブランドになっているようです。
今回紹介する資料「パンドラの匣（はこ）」は「昭和の文豪」太宰治が「なぜ人生に勉強は必要なのか？」という命題に挑んでいる本で、以下フレーズが印象的でした。
「学問なんて、覚えると同時に忘れてしまってもいいものなんだ。
けれども、全部忘れてしまっても、その勉強の訓練の底に一つかみの砂金が残っているものだ。
これだ。これが貴いのだ。」（引用終わり）

講義式の授業の場合、教室を出るとほとんどの内容を忘れてしまいがちです。
ビジネススクールの場合、ケースメソッドと呼ばれる討議型の授業が行われています。
ケースメソッド型授業の場合、学生同士が意見をぶつけ合い、一つの答えを見つけ出そうとします。
私は、講義とケースメソッドを両方経験しましたが、ケースメソッドの授業では、2年間居眠りをまったくしませんでした。
また、ケースメソッドの授業で展開された議論は未だに覚えています。
ビジネススクールでは、議論をしながら授業が展開します。
そのため、社会に戻った後、「この場面はどこかで経験したな」と思い出すことが頻繁にあります。
今回紹介した資料「パンドラの匣」が述べている通り、「全部忘れてしまっても、その勉強の訓練の底に一つかみの砂金が残っており、これが貴い」という太宰の意見に私は賛成ですね😊。

＜ Mr. PDCAのボンジュール英語「砂金」 = 「gold dus」＞
今回出てきた「砂金」の英訳は、「gold dus」になります。
「一つかみの砂金が尊い」を英語で表現する場合、「A handful of gold dust is precious」とすればよいですね😊。

In a lecture-style class, it's easy to forget most of the contents once you leave the classroom.
In the case of business schools, discussion-style classes called case methods are conducted.
In the case of case-method classes, students exchange opinions and try to find an answer.
I have experienced both lectures and case methods, but I never fell asleep in the case method classes for two years.
