ある読者の方から、「好きな四文字熟語は何ですか？」と聞かれました。
一番好きな言葉は、「無事是名馬（ぶじこれめいば）」ですが、四文字ではなかったため、「知行合一（ちこうごういつ）」と答えました。
今回紹介する資料「陽明学 生き方の極意」は、陽明学の入門書として非常に読みやすく、「知ることと行うことは一体のもの」部分の以下フレーズが印象的でした。
「知っていながら行わないのは、まだ知っていないということだ。」（引用終わり）

知っていることとできることが一致していることを、陽明学で「知行合一」といいます。
陽明学の開祖である王陽明（1472-1528）の作品である「伝習録」を読むと、知行合一には「学んだらすぐ行動せよ」というメッセージが込められていることが分かりました。
ビジネスにおいても、「知行合一」はかなり重要であると私は考えています。
チームリーダーがメンバーに業務方針を伝える場合、「知っている」だけでは分かりにくい説明になってしまうためです。
リーダーは、「知っており、実行できる」ことをメンバーに見せることで、教わる側も「なるほど」と理解した上で業務を進められると私は考えています。
山本五十六の名言である「やってみせ、言って聞かせて、させてみて、ほめてやらねば、人は動かじ」には、陽明学の「知行合一」の意味が含まれているような気がしています😊。

「知行合一の本当の意味」を英語で表現する場合、「the true meaning of unity of knowledge and action」とすればよいですね😊。
When I was at business school, I tried to read various books during the holidays after the exam.
One of the books I borrowed from the school library was the theme of Yangmingism, and it was a very thick book.
As soon as I started reading, I went to sleep before reading 10 pages😊.
The material to be introduced today “Introduction of Yangmingism (Japanese only)” was very easy to read as an introductory book for Yangmingism learners and the following phrase was impressive.
"In case there is something you know, but you cannot implement.
That is the same as you do not know.
This is the principle of Yangmingism that 'Awareness comes only through practice.'" (Unquote)
