過去のPDCA日記でもお伝えしていますが、ビジネスにおいては「絶対」ということがないため、「絶対」という言葉を私自身は使わないように心がけています。
私は前職時代、「アメリカの不動産価格は絶対に下がらない」「ユーロ危機は絶対に怒らない」という「絶対」を何度も聞いてきましたが、ものの見事に崩れ去りました。
今回紹介する資料「薄っぺらいのに自信満々な人」は、「なぜ「意識高い系」の人ほど、たいして仕事ができないのか？」という命題を分析しており、以下フレーズが印象的でした。
「よくわかっていない人ほど自信たっぷりに断言する。
どうみても無理だろうと思うことでも『大丈夫です』と断言し、それはできないだろうと思うことでも『絶対にできます』と断言し、それは違うだろうと思うことでも『そうなんです』と言い切ってします。
『できる人物』ほど、日頃の自分の行動スタイルに対して、『これでいいんだろうか』と絶えず疑問や不安を感じている。
仕事ぶりが残念な人ほど、そうした疑問や不安があまりない。
また、仕事力には『一人でいられる力』も関係しているのではないか。
人間は、一人でいるときに自分自身を振り返る。
人と一緒にいるばかりでは、自分自身を振り返る暇がない。
群れる人間に漂う頼りなさは、一人でいる時間が少ないために思考が深まらないことが関係しているのかもしれない。」（引用終わり）

P.S. 「絶対」という言葉を使ってしまうと、考えなくなるというリスクを抱えるとも私は思っています。
「部長の言うことは絶対だ」という部門にいると、部長の発言に矛盾があっても誰も指摘できず、コンプライアンス違反が発生していても、すり抜けるリスクが高まることになります。
一部の日本企業では、部署全員で毎日昼食に行く文化が残っており、今回紹介した資料「薄っぺらいのに自信満々な人」が解説している「群れる人間」になりやすい傾向があると思っています（別に悪いと言っているわけではありません）。
毎日部署単位で昼食に行くことが好きな人は続ければよいと思いますが、違和感や疑問を持っている人は、私のように早々と立ち去るということも作戦の一つでしょうね😊。
＜ Mr. PDCAのボンジュール英語「頼りなさ」 = 「unreliable」＞
今回出てきた「頼りなさ」の英訳は、「unreliable」になります。
「群れる人間に漂う頼りなさ」を英語にする場合、「Unreliable floating in swarming people」とすればよいですね😊。

The material introduced today "Confident people without ability (Japanese only)" analyses "Why confident people are not capable" and the following phrases were impressive.
"Even if it seems impossible, confident people say that 'it is okay'.
Capable people are continually questioning and anxious about 'Is this really okay?'
People who made us disappointed in their work are less likely to have such questions and concerns.
Also, the ability to be alone may be related to work power.
Humans look back on themselves when alone.
Just being with people has no time to look back on themselves.
The unreliability of the swarming humans may be related to the fact that they do not spend much time alone and their thoughts do not deepen." (Unquote)

P.S. I also think that if you use the word "absolute" in business or your private life, you run the risk of not thinking.
If you are in the company which President or the CEO says, "What the manager says is absolute," no one can point out any inconsistencies in the manager's remarks, and even if a compliance breach occurs, the risk of slipping through increases.
