【PDCA日記 Vol. 149「反対意見に耳を傾ける」】
働き方改革が叫ばれている中、ブラック企業と呼ばれる世界で働く人はいるようで、PDCAカフェに来る方の中には、「深夜残業、土日出勤、休暇なし」などの状況から抜け出せないビジネスパーソンがいます。
そんな方と会うと、私は決まって「そういうところからは早く逃げ出す方がよいのではないか」と伝えるのですが、「そんなわけにはいかない」という回答をされることがあります。
会社員の場合、基本的に組織で業務運営をしていますので、その人がいなくなったからといって、仕事が完全に止まるということはありません。
にもかかわらず、「自分がいなくなると大変なことになる」と思い込んでいるビジネスパーソンは結構存在しており、そのことがブラック企業を発生させる要因の一つであると私は考えています。
今回紹介する資料「カルト宗教信じてました」は、「カルト宗教の世界と洗脳がとけるまで」のプロセスを解説しています。
本書で印象的だったのは、カルト宗教を信じてしまうリスクとして、「反対意見に耳がふさがる」ことがあげられていることでした。

P.S. 実は、ブラック企業に勤めて抜け出せなくなっている人の多くは、カルト宗教信者と似ており「反対意見に耳がふさがる」ようになっていると感じています。
自分の仕事や職場の状況について、「これはおかしいのではないか？」と感じた場合、外部の信用できる人と話してみることをお勧めします。
「それはおかしい」と外部の人からはっきり言われると、本当におかしい可能性が高いのでしょう。
私自身もそうですが、人間は簡単に騙（だま）されます。
「自分は騙されない」と思っている人が一番危険であり、「自分は騙されているかもしれない」という前提で動くほうが無難でしょうね :-)。
騙されない上で重要なことは、反対意見に耳を傾けるということになります。
そういえば、私がお世話になったある会社では、社長が「全会一致は認めない」というポリシーを持っていました。
その理由を聞いてみると、「会議などでは反対意見が必要」とのこと。
この会社は、現在も成長を続けています :-)。
＜ Mr. PDCAのボンジュール英語「反対意見」=「objection」＞
今回出てきた「反対意見」の英訳は、「objection」になります。
「彼は長らくあの組織に所属しているため、反対意見を聞くことができなかった」を英語にする場合、「He has been in that organization for a long time and he was unable to listen to the objection」とすればよいですね :-)。
While work style reforms are screaming in Japan, there seems to exist rogue companies (companies that habitually flout labor regulations).
Among those who come to the PDCA cafe, some participants got trapped into rogue companies where they cannot escape from the situation such as overnight work, weekend work and no vacation, etc.
When I meet such persons, I always say that “You had better get away from that place sooner”, but they often responded that “I can't do that”.
In case of a corporate employee, the business is basically managed by the organization, so just because the person is gone does not mean that the task will be completely stopped.
Nevertheless, there are quite a lot of business persons who think that the company will be in a challenging situation if they are gone, and I think that is one of the factors that generate rogue companies.
The material to be introduced today “I believed in cult religion (Japanese only)” explains the world of cult religion and brainwashing.
What impressed me in this book was that the risk of believing in the cult religion was that "They don't hear the objection".
