【PDCA日記 Vol. 250「老人政治が強さの源泉？」】
今回紹介する資料「「強すぎる自民党」の病理」は、「老人支配と日本型ポピュリズム」をキャッチフレーズにしています。
伝統的な二大政党制をとっているアメリカとイギリスは政治的なチャレンジに直面していますが、一強政治の日本は比較的政治が安定しています。
今回紹介する資料「「強すぎる自民党」の病理」によると、他党が壊滅して自民党が生き残った理由の一つは地方組織の基盤であると指摘しており、「老人政治が強さの源泉である」と解説している。
自民党は2009年の下野を経て、権力への執着心を取り戻したようです。
現在では、「永遠の与党」と呼ばれるまでに復活した自民党を分析する上で、本書はおすすめの一冊です。

P.S. 最近は自民党のことを、「江戸幕府」をもじって「令和幕府」と表現する識者もおり、野党のだらしなさが浮き彫りになっています。
政治に興味がある人は、国会論戦の見学に行ってみると良いかもしれません。
野党が騒いているのは、テレビに映っている時間だけであり、それ以外は静かに審議が行われているものです。
この辺りの差を把握した上で、一人ひとりがきちんと選挙に行くようにすると、日本の政治が変わるのかもしれませんね :-)。
＜ Mr. PDCAのボンジュール英語「強さの源泉」 = 「source of strength」＞
今回出てきた「強さの源泉」の英訳は、「source of strength」になります。
「老人政治が強さの源泉である」を英語で表現する場合、「Geriatric politics is the source of strength?」とすればよいですね :-)。

According to the material “Pathology of the LDP”, one of the reasons why the LDP survived as the other parties were destroyed was the foundation of local organizations.
This book is a recommended for analyzing the LDP that has revived through the loss of general election in 2009 and it revived and now it is called the "Eternal Ruling Party".
