金融スペシャリストは、利益を上げるためにありとあらゆることをすることで知られています。
今回紹介する資料「フラッシュ・ボーイズ 10億分の1秒の男たち」では、その権化のような存在が登場します。
パソコンやスマートフォンで株式取引をする人が多くなっていますが、本書はいかにスピーディに金融取引の処理を行うかに命をかけた人々の物語です。
今回紹介する資料「フラッシュ・ボーイズ 10億分の1秒の男たち」を久しぶりに読んでみて思いましたが、金融の世界を離れて本当に良かったと感じました😊。
外から見ると、金融の世界は不思議なことだらけです。
金融業界には、「スーツ主義」や「紙で資料を用意する風潮」、「役職を異常なまでに気にする文化」などがはびこっています。
そのため、別の業界から金融の世界に飛び込んだ人たちの多くは違和感を覚えてしまうのです。
メーカーやIT業界を離れて、銀行や証券会社に入ったとしても、仕事が長続きしない原因は理解できますね😊。
1990年代後半、銀行はマーケティングを強化するため、一般消費財メーカーからマーケターを採用したことがあります。
当時は、日本版金融ビッグバンが始まる頃であり、銀行業界にも競争の荒波（？）が押し寄せており、マーケティングの重要性を感じ始めていたのでしょう。
結果的に、一般消費財メーカーから銀行に転職したマーケティングの専門家たちの多くは長続きすることなく、金融業界を去ってしまいました。
一般消費財メーカーから銀行に入った知り合いがいませんので、真実は不明ですが、私は金融業界の伝統的な文化が影響したのだと思います。
一部の銀行では、未だに部署全体で昼食に行く文化が銀行には残っており、外から来た人にとっては中々理解しにくいのだと思いますね。

その業界や会社を離れた人は、前職に忖度する必要がないため、色々なことを教えてくれるでしょう。
その世界や企業を去った人が「良い会社（業界）」という場合、飛び込んでみる価値があるかもしれませんね😊。

The same is true for job hunting, but if you are considering joining a particular company, the opinions of those who quit that company will be helpful.
People who have left the industry or company will be able to teach you a lot, because they don't have to be a diplomat or an ambassador in their previous employers.
If the person who left the particular industry or company is saying that "This is a good company (industry)", it might be worth jumping in 😊.
