【PDCA日記 Vol. 1,260「忍者は何でも屋」】
忍者部隊は世界最古の特殊部隊と言われますが、戦国時代にどのような活動を行っていたかは謎が多いです。
今回紹介する資料「忍者 現代(いま)に活きる口伝」は「忍び"のように生きたくなる本」をキャッチフレーズにしており、忍者の様々な謎を丁寧に解説しています。
今回紹介する資料「忍者 現代(いま)に活きる口伝」で印象深いのは、「末端を鍛える」部分です。
忍者は指先の強さが重要視されていたようで、「人差し指と親指の二本指で米俵一俵（60kg）を持ち上げられるまで鍛えられる」という話が残っているほどです。
また、忍者は「スペシャリストのようでジェネラリスト」という考え方も面白いと感じました。
情報収集や密室からの脱出など、あらゆる任務を遂行していた忍者は「それはできません」と言える立場になく、とにかく何でもこなす必要があったのです。
会社で言うと、企画部という名の「何でも屋」に相当するのかもしれません。

何を隠そう、私も銀行員時代は「偉大なる何でも屋」と呼ばれていました。

P.S. 日本の忍者部隊は徳川家康が創設しましたが、似たような仕組みがフランスの宰相リシュリューによって構築されています。
リシュリューは日本で知名度が殆どありませんが、ルイ14世の父であるルイ13世に仕えた政治家であり、フラン人であれば誰でも知っている人物です。
リシュリューはフランスの行政組織を整え、中央集権体制と絶対王政の基礎を築きました。
リシュリューとほぼ同年代を生きた徳川家康には意外な共通点があり、それはスパイ網を整備したことでした。
私が戦国時代に生きていたら忍者部隊に入りたいと思っており、今の時代よりも成功する自信がありますね😊。

今回出てきた「何でも屋」の英訳は、「Jack of all trades」になります。
「忍者は何でも屋」を英語で表現する場合、「Ninja was Jack of all trades」とすればよいですね😊。

The material introduced today "Ninja: The Modern Oral Chronicles (Japanese only)" has a catchphrase "A book that makes you want to live like a Ninja" and carefully explains various mysteries of the Ninja.
The most striking part of this material is the "Train the ends of the body" part.
It seems that Ninjas emphasized the strength of their fingertips, and there is a story that "They trained until they could lift one bale of rice (60kg) with their forefinger and thumb".
To tell you the truth, when I was working at bank, I was called a "Jack of all trades".
Although I had been in the planning field for a long time in the finance world, I was in charge of everything from the interpreter of the President to the Master of Ceremony of the event.
This experience has been useful since I started self-employment in 2016.

Richelieu is a politician who served Louis XIII (Father of Louis XIV).
Richelieu is very famous in France, because he has organized a public organization, built a centralized system and the foundation of absolute monarchy.
Ieyasu Tokugawa (Founder of Tokugawa Shogunate) who lived nearly the same period has unexpected similarities with Richelieu, which was to establish a spy networkd (in Japan, a Ninja troop😊).
