先日のPDCAカフェで、「やりがいを追求するべきでしょうか、収入を追い求めるべきでしょうか？」と質問をされた方がおり、私からは以下のように回答しました。
「人それぞれだと思いますが、過去のPDCA日記で紹介したダニエル・カーネマン教授の研究『年収75,000米ドル（約800万円）を超えると、幸せの度合いは経済的な豊かさとリンクしなくなる』ことを知っておくことは意味があると思います。
カーネマン教授の研究に沿うと、年収800万円に到達するまでは収入を追い求め、その後はやりがいを追求することで、人間は幸せになる可能性が高くなります。」（Mr. PDCAコメント終わり）
カーネマン教授の研究は、過去のPDCA日記で紹介したことがあります。

今回紹介する資料「中年男ルネッサンス」の「やりがいか、収入か？」部分の以下フレーズが印象的でした。

P.S. 現在は、やりがいと収入を両立することが以前と比べると実現しやすい環境であると考えています。
その理由としてインターネットの登場があり、自営の私のように自宅で仕事をすることが可能になったからです。
SNSの発達もあって、「個人がメディアを持つ」ことができるようになりました。
従来は、広告代理店や既存メディアに頼らざるを得なかったマーケティングを、個人がゼロコストで実現できるようになったことも大きいと思います。
我々は、非常に恵まれた時代に生きていると言えるでしょう😊。
＜ Mr. PDCAのボンジュール英語「広告代理店」 = 「advertising agency」＞
今回出てきた「広告代理店」の英訳は、「advertising agency」になります。
「広告代理店にマーケティング戦略について、相談している」を英語にする場合、「We are consulting with an advertising agency on marketing strategy」とすればよいですね😊。

本日は、高杉真宙（たかすぎまひろ）主演の映画「世界でいちばん長い写真」 を紹介します。
原作は小説「世界でいちばん長い写真」で、こちらも面白かったですね😊。
映画「世界でいちばん長い写真」では、高校の写真部が舞台になっています。
写真部では、145mのギネス級の長さの写真を撮影するというプロジェクトが進行しており、四苦八苦しながらチャレンジを克服しようとする青春映画になっています。

At the PDCA cafe the other day, one participant asked me that "Should I pursue challenges or income?" and I responded as follows.
"I think that it is up to each person, however, it might be useful to know the research by Professor Daniel Kahneman which I introduced in the past PDCA. According to Prof. Kahneman, when the annual income exceeds 75,000 US dollars (about 8 million yen), the degree of happiness will not link with the economic wealth. If you comply with Prof. Kahneman's research, you had better pursue income until you reach the annual income of 75,000 US dollars, then you should seek something worth doing."
The material to be introduced today "Renaissance of Middle-Aged People (Japanese only)" has an interesting part of "Pursue challenges or income?" and the following phrases were impressive.
"The best job is 'Worth doing with high income', but it is quite challenges. Therefore, we tend to choose either 'Worth doing job with low income' or 'High income job, but not worth doing'."

P.S. I believe that it is easier to realize worth doing job with relatively high income nowadays than before.
The reason is the appearance of the Internet, and as evidence, I was able to work alone at home.

Traditionally, most business persons were depending on advertising agents in terms of marketing, but we can advertise on our own with zero cost now.
We must be living in a very privileged time, aren't we?
