【PDCA日記 Vol. 1,459「中小企業の方が有利」】
最近は、大学生の方がPDCAカフェに来ることがあり、「大企業かベンチャー企業に行くべきか悩んでいる」という嬉しい悲鳴を抱えているケースがちょくちょくあります。
私自身、最初のキャリアを大企業で積んだため、大きな組織で働くことのメリットをある程度は感じている方です。
ただ、ベンチャー企業に行くメリットもあり、もう一歩進んで「自分でビジネスを始めるという選択肢もありますよ」ということも伝えています。
今回紹介する資料「もう、転職はさせない! 一生働きたい職場のつくり方」は、「働きがいの創出が最重要」をキャッチフレーズにしており、「今こそ、中小企業にとって大きなチャンスが訪れている」部分の以下フレーズが印象的でした。
「『大企業をお手本に中小企業も変わるべき』などというのはあまりに雑な議論と言わざるをえません。
私はむしろ、今の時代は中小企業にとってチャンスなのではないかと考えています。
本当に必要なのは現場で働く一人ひとりの『働きがい』を創出するための改革です。
この点で、中小企業は大企業より有利なのです。」（引用終わり）

P.S. 自営や起業を経験された方はお分かりだと思いますが、日本は大企業勤務の会社員の社会的地位が非常に高い社会です。
ただ、大企業で働いている人達の幸福度が高いかどうかと言うと、一概に高いとも言えないケースがあります。
私自身、大企業で働いていた時よりも、自営の方が楽しく、やりがいを感じているため、仕事を探す場合、「周りの評価と自分の評価」を天秤にかけ、バランス感覚をもって選ぶことがポイントになりそうですね :-)。
＜ Mr. PDCAのボンジュール英語「中小企業」=「SME」＞
今回出てきた「中小企業」の英訳は、「SME（small medium-sized enterprise）」になります。
「中小企業は大企業より有利なのです」を英語にする場合、「SMEs have an advantage over large companies」とすればよいですね :-)。
Recently, university students have come to the PDCA cafe and some of them have mentioned that "I could not choose my first career at a large company or a venture company."
I know the benefits of working for a large organization, because I started my first career with a large company.
However, going to a venture company also has good parts, and starting his or her own business is also a choice for young people.
The material to be introduced today "How to create a workplace that employees want to work for good (Japanese only)" has the catchphrase "Creating employee satisfaction is the most important" and the following phrases were impressive.
"I rather think that the present era is an opportunity for SMEs.
What is really needed is reform to create "employee satisfaction" for each person who works on site.
In this regard, SMEs have an advantage over large companies.” (Unquote)
