【PDCA日記 Vol. 1,504「面白さは会議から生まれない」】
私のモットーは「楽しく仕事をする」ですが、一部の方からは「仕事はしんどいもの」という意見を頂くことがあります。
この部分は哲学の違いかもしれませんが、「仕事を楽しんでいる人と働きたい」と思う数の方が多いのは明白であると考えています。
今回紹介する資料「面白いとは何か? 面白く生きるには?」は、「つまらないなんてありえない」をキャッチフレーズにしており、「面白さは、会議からは生まれない」部分の以下フレーズが印象的でした。
「大勢の知恵を集めても実現しない。
なにしろ、会議をしても、意見が合わない。
わかっているのは、過去に売れたものがある、というデータだけだ。
それと同じことをすれば、また売れるという保証はない。
知恵を集めても解決しないのは、個人によって面白さが少しずつ違うからだ。」（引用終わり）

P.S. 本書は「面白さは会議から生まれない」と説いていますが、創造性が会議から生まれることはあると私は考えています。
ビジネスの場合、多かれ少なかれ会議は発生するものですが、ポイントは少人数で行うことでしょう。
私は会食などで6人以上参加者がいる場合、出席しないことにしています。
できれば4人が望ましいですが、6人までであればギリギリ全員が同じ話題を持つことができるためです :-)。
＜ Mr. PDCAのボンジュール英語「面白さ」=「amusement」＞
今回出てきた「面白さ」の英訳はいくつか候補がありますが、「amusement」が一つの表現方法になります。
「面白さは雑談から生まれることがある」を英語にする場合、「Amusement can be born from chatting」とすればよいですね :-)。

This may be a difference in philosophy, but I think it's clear that there are more people who want to work with those who enjoy their work.
The material to be introduced today "What is interesting? How to live interestingly (Japanese only)" has a catchphrase that "It can never be boring" and the following phrases were impressive in the part "The fun is not born from the meeting".
"Even if we gather a lot of wisdom, it will not be realized.
After all, even if we hold a meeting, the opinions do not agree.
All we know is that there is something sold in the past.
If you do the same, there is no guarantee that it will sell again.
The reason why gathering wisdom is not solved is that the fun varies slightly from person to person." (Unquote)
