今回紹介する資料「アメリカ合衆国の生成とその奴隷史」は、「合衆国の生成にあたり、その人的要素、人種問題に、その典型としての奴隷制に光をあてた物語」であり、「行政解剖と司法解剖」以下のフレーズが印象的でした。
「イギリス王国の植民地（コロニー）であったアメリカでは、人々はイギリス王に忠誠を誓っていた。
もう1つ皮肉な対照として、この間、白人らが、イギリス王からの独立を獲得しつつ、共和制を確立した一方で、同時並行的に黒人らの奴隷化を完成させていた。
その2つが、共存しつつ同時進行する定め、それが歴史である。
アメリカの黒人についての類書があるとしても、このような視点からの分析的見方をしたものは余り見られない。
大体、アメリカの歴史書の中で、黒人について、まして奴隷についての記述は、極めて乏しいものしか存在しない（ゼロに近いといってもよい）。
そんな中で、そもそも、『読み書き』を習うことからして許されていなかった彼らは、その生き様、行動、心情などについて、その記録がどこにも残らない仕組みになっていた。
一方で、彼らに対する白人のオーナーなどによる惨（むご）い、残忍な仕打ちについては、（流石に外聞を憚（はばか）ってか」抑制的にせよ記述が残っている。」（引用終わり）

P.S. 私自身、アメリカの大学に通い、アメリカに住んで、アメリカの金融機関で働きましたが、アメリカの歴史における奴隷制度については、議論することがありませんでした。
アメリカの白人にとっても、黒人にとっても、歴史の中で奴隷がどのように扱われてきたかについて話をすることは、未だにタブー視されているのかもしれません。
アメリカで白人の警察官が黒人を虐待するケースが報じられることがありますが、黒人が白人に暴力をふるっていることがニュースになることは余りありません。
また、アメリカ以外の国や地域で起こっている人権侵害について、日本の報道機関が取り上げることはほとんどない状況です。
この辺りは社会の矛盾かもしれず、「報道は偏っている」という前提でニュースに触れることが、我々にとって求められているのかもしれませんね😊。
＜ Mr. PDCAのボンジュール英語「共存する」 = 「coexist」＞
今回出てきた「共存する」の英訳は、「coexist」になります。
「共存しつつ同時進行する」を英語で表現する場合、「Simultaneous progress while coexisting」とすればよいですね😊。
＜マドモアゼルPDCAのメルシー映画「ゆうべはお楽しみでしたね」＞
本日は、ドラマ「ゆうべはお楽しみでしたね」を紹介します。
原作は漫画「ゆうべはお楽しみでしたね」で、こちらも面白かったですね😊。
ドラマ「ゆうべはお楽しみでしたね」は、スクウェア・エニックスのドラゴンクエストX（ドラクエX）を題材にした作品です。
実在するオンラインゲームを題材にしていますが、従来のドラクエ関連漫画とは異なり、ゲーム内の世界ではなく、現代の日本に住むドラクエXのプレイヤーを題材にしたラブコメディ作品となっています。
プレイをしているゲーム内の様子も描かれていますが、戦闘や冒険シーンは殆ど見られません。
私を含めてドラクエ世代のビジネスパーソンに、今回紹介するドラマ「ゆうべはお楽しみでしたね」はお勧めです。

【マドモアゼルPDCAコメント】今回紹介するドラマ「ゆうべはお楽しみでしたね」のタイトルは、原作ゲームのドラゴンクエストにおいて、主人公の勇者がローラ姫と一夜を明かした際に、宿屋の主人がからかって発するセリフが由来となっています。
ドラクエが大ヒットした理由は色々とありますが、「ゆうべはお楽しみでしたね」というセリフを含めて、様々な遊び心があちこちにあったことが大きいと私は考えています😊。

P.S. I myself attended an American university, lived in the United States, and worked for an American financial institution, but never discussed slavery in American history.
Talking about how slaves have been treated in history, both white and black in the United States, may still be taboo.
White police officers have been reported to abuse blacks in the United States, but it is rarely news that blacks are violent against whites.
In addition, Japanese media rarely discuss human rights violations occurring in countries or regions other than the United States.
This area may be a contradiction in society, and it may be necessary for us to come into contact with the news on the premise that "reporting is biased" 😊.
