「逆に、根拠らしき話ばかりが続いて、何が結論なのか、なかなか話してくれない人。
『Y屋の牛丼は出てくるのが早くて、味も美味しくて、それで店員さんも・・・』などと話はするけれど、一向に前に進まない。
そんなときも、頭の中にピラミッドをつくっていれば結論を推測して投げかけることができます。
『ということは、ひょっとして、あなたはY屋の牛丼が好きなんですね？』と水を向ければ、『そうなんだよ！私の言いたいことをわかってくれてありがとう！』という流れになるかもしれません。
この聞き方をしていれば、わけのわからないまま終わらず、相手が言いたかったことを引き出すことができます。
こうして整理しながら聞いていれば、合間に子どもの話や、あまり関係なさそうな思い出話が入ってきても、『これはピラミッドとは別の余談なんだな』ということがわかります。

P.S. ビジネスにおいて話が長い人が出てくると、会合などが予定通りに終わらず困ったことになります。
これを防ぐ手立てとしては、会合でアジェンダ（議題）を予め設定しておくことがあります。
また、アジェンダごとに時間を決めておくことで、時間を経過して場合に通知することが可能です。
こうすることで、会合が延長することを予防でき、「あの人は物事を予定通りに終わらせられる人」という評価にもつながります。

＜ Mr. PDCAのボンジュール英語「水を向ける」 = 「draw out」＞
今回出てきた「水を向ける」の英訳は、「draw out」になります。
「私が少し水を向けると彼は全て話した」を英語で表現する場合、「When I drew him out a little, he talked everything」とすればよいですね😊。

If you try to draw out by saying, 'That means you probably like that store's beef bowl, right?', that person might reply 'That's right! Thank you for understanding what I mean!'
With this way of listening, you can draw out what the other person wanted to say.
If you listen while organizing in this way, even if a child's story or a past story that seems to be unrelated comes in between, you can see that 'This is a different digression from the pyramid.'

P.S. When people who have a long talk in business come out, meetings tend not to end as scheduled and it becomes a problem.
One way to prevent this is to set an agenda in advance at the meeting.
Also, by setting a time for each agenda, it is possible to notify when the time has passed.
This will prevent the meeting from being extended and will lead to the evaluation that "that person can get things done on time".
