【PDCA日記 Vol. 1,518「何を求めているか解き明かす」】
PDCAカフェでよく出てくる話題として、「自分に向いている仕事」があります。
過去のPDCA日記でもお伝えしていますが、「自分に向いている仕事」かどうかを判断するのは顧客や上司、同僚などの他人であり、自分自身ではないというところがチャレンジングなところであり、また面白い部分でもあります :-)。
今回紹介する資料「ハイパワー・マーケティング」は、「あなたのビジネスを加速させる「力」の見つけ方」を解説しており、「あなたが得たものを最大限活用する」部分の以下フレーズが印象的でした。
「あなたは、自分が一体何者なのか、自分が何を求めているのかを解き明かす必要があります。
これは、非常に重要な問題です。
というのも私が出会うほとんどの人は、自分が人生でどこに向かっているのか、人世に何を求めているのかを知る手がかりすらも、見いだせていないからです。
それではどんな成功も、どんな達成感も、喜びも繁栄も幸福も、偶然に起こるしかありません。」（引用終わり）

P.S. 本書は、「どんな成功も、どんな達成感も、喜びも繁栄も幸福も、偶然に起こるしかありません」と述べていますが、この「偶然」は誰にでも結構起こっていると私は感じています。
私の場合、2011年にプロジェクト管理の仕事を始めたことが、本書の言う偶然だったと感じています。
ただ、この偶然が舞い込んできたのは理由がありました。
私は社会人になってから、打ち合わせや会議はもちろんのこと、食事の約束などを含めて、時間に遅れたことがありません。
私がプロジェクト管理の仕事にアサインされた理由は、「時間を守っていたから」であり、これが天職へと導いてくれたことになります :-)。
＜ Mr. PDCAのボンジュール英語「達成感」=「sense of accomplishment」＞
今回出てきた「達成感」の英訳は、「sense of accomplishment」になります。
「どんな達成感も、喜びも繁栄も幸福も、偶然に起こるしかない」を英語にする場合、「Any sense of accomplishment, joy, prosperity, happiness, can only happen by chance」とすればよいですね :-)。
One of the hot topics that often comes up at PDCA cafes is "Work suitable for you".
As mentioned in the past PDCA diary, it is challenging to judge whether it is "work suitable for you" by yourself.
This is because others around you such as customers, bosses and colleagues will decide your performance and it is also an interesting part in business, I suppose :-).
The material to be introduced today "The Mastermind Marketing System" explains "How to find the power that accelerates your business" and the following phrases were impressive.
"You need to figure out who you are and what you want.
This is a very important issue.
For most of the people I meet do not find any clues about where they are in their lives or what they want from the world.
So any success, any sense of accomplishment, joy, prosperity, and happiness can only happen by chance." (Unquote)
